HCAI SYMPOSIUM 2024

OVGU

About the Symposium

The Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence Symposium Series (HCAI@OVGU) aims to unite experts from academia and industry to discuss key topics like Responsible AI, Explainable AI, and Fairness.

The event, organized by the Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence Research Group, will be held at the Faculty of Computer Science, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, in November 4-5, 2024.

Target Audience

  • The HCAI@OVGU Symposium targets individuals interested in studying novel contributions to HCAI approaches, from researchers to practitioners belonging to academia and industry. The Symposium aims to discuss and exchange ideas within the community about the advances in the development of trustworthy, fair and privacy-preserving systems, as well as explainable user interfaces, with a specific focus on the users' perception in real-world scenarios and not (only) on the algorithmic and model performance.
  • HCAI@OVGU aims to foster cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary discussions between experts from various research fields, such as computer science, psychology, sociology, law, medicine, business, etc., to discuss problems and synergies in this exciting research topic.
